Day 20: Develop a Self-Care Plan
The exercises in this journey have really made me self reflect on the things in my life that mean the most. In the grand scheme of life – my job is a necessity, but being in tune with myself and taking care of ME is what matters more. If I am not 100%, I can’t be my best mother, employee, friend, daughter, sister… and the list goes on.
I like the idea of creating a self-care plan. I am a planner by nature and I do best setting goals so that I have something to work toward.
The self-care plan will be a guide for the next week of getting in tune with my inner and outer self. It will help to become more mindful of my thoughts and feelings. It should include all of the goals I have for my physical and mental health, no matter how small.
My Self-Care Plan
  • Wake up by 6am daily and work out (at least 5 days per week)
  • Make healthier eating choices to include eating the recommended number of balanced meals daily
  • Drink 1/2 of my weight in water daily
  • Incorporate more relaxing activities in my weekly/monthly routine
    • Yoga
    • Massages
    • Facials
    • Daily stretching
  • Be more consistent with my therapist
  • Continue using my daily affirmations
I think this is a great start… this will change as I start to incorporate these things and realize that I have more options that I hadn’t thought of.
