Fall in Love with Your Life!

Day 26 & 27: 31 Days to Reset Your Life

Wow! This month has really flown by! I can’t believe how fast it went and that I actually stuck to following the program. Yes, I know I’ve been MIA the last couple of days, but I haven’t been feeling 100%. So I took a day or two to chill out a bit. I’ve noticed the last few days of this program are not really designed for completing the exercises in the same day. Some take time… but I can at least tell you what the exercises are and how I plan to make them happen.

Day 26: Make a New Friend
This one piggy backs off of the find & join a community support group. I’ve been a member of several meetup groups for years and I can count on one hand how many events I’ve attended. So, for the join a community support group exercise, I logged in and kind of re-evaluated my groups and searched for others. Day 26 was to make a new friend from one of the groups you joined. Well, while that sounds great in theory – we all know it’s difficult to make “friends” as adults. Well, for me at least. Plus, you remember how I told you I don’t trust people? Yea, so…. not sure how that is going to work out for me.
I’m sure I can make friends in any setting not just my new community support groups, but I want to try and make more of an effort to actually get involved in some of these groups and I may be pleasantly surprised by the people I meet. I may find that I have a lot in common and the friendship just naturally grows from there.
Pray for me ya’ll….I know I have some issues.
Day 27: Revive Your Love Life
Ugh! Revive?!?! You can’t revive something that was never alive!! Anyway, that’s my rant. I’ve been single so long I’m now considered SANGLE. LOL! But, it’s partially by choice because I’m in a good place in life as far as my job and educational goals so I don’t have to settle for just a piece of man. Nope, it’s not going down like that. Back in July, I joined an online dating site. I’ve done online dating on and off for several years. I know there are a lot of naysayers but I look at it as a means to reach more potential men than I would in my normal daily life. I don’t carry on a relationship with people online. I try to get offline and in person within two weeks at the most.
Currently, my profile is deactivated and will stay that will until the first of the year. But, of course as with everything else I will be back to keep you posted on the reviving efforts.
Your turn: How do you make new friends or incorporate dating into your life (if you’re single)?
